FAQ
I tried to register after one of your seminars, but I never got a confirmation email. What should I do? Under ordinary circumstances you should receive the confirmation email within 15-20 minutes. If you do not receive it within this period the most likely cause is a spam filter somewhere within your system — either at your ISP, corporate firewall, or your email software. So the first step is to check any spam filters you know about to see if the confirmation is listed there. While you’re at it, white-list “claudia AT claudiamccue DOT com.” Every email you receive from me will have this as the FROM: address.
Though rare, delivery can occasionally be delayed by heavy internet traffic. But if you don’t see the email after 3-4 hours you may need to contact your SysAdmin — especially if you are using a corporate email address. Corporate firewalls are becoming increasingly aggressive and indiscriminate, and frequently classify legitimate emails as SPAM. So the next step is to ask your corp SysAdmin to white-list my address.
If this fails you may need to re-register using a separate, personal email account. The account should be accessible via a web browser so you can reach it from any computer. Both gmail and Yahoo! are good options for this, but there are others. I realize this is a hassle and I wish there were a better option, but this is the only sure way I know to guarantee you can receive legitimate emails that are being blocked at a corporate or ISP level.
