Gerald Singelmann wrote two java scripts "imageName2Library.jsxbin" and "updateNameinLibrary.jsxbin" to ease the pain. Drag a placed file to the library and immediately start the script "imageName2Library.jsxbin". The library item will get the name of the placed file. With "updateNameinLibrary.jsxbin" you can choose among the file names of all selected files on the page to update the "Untitled" tag in the library. You have to pay extra if you want graphics automatically named in the library. It's called the "PlusPack" or "ProPack" or something. At least you have the Library feature. Some users inadvertently got the Lite edition which comes with only three features: Pages, text frames, and the print dialog box. AM You must’ve missed the press release where they talked about this.
